Bow Floating Garland
It is the season for love & let me tell you I am in love with this easy & cute craft. I surprised my daughter when she go home from school with her room filled with hanging bows from the ceiling it was kind of magical and whimsical. So to make this cutesy decoration you need in your life.
MATERIALS
- Ribbon
- hot glue gun
- fishing line
- command hooks
How to assemble
I started making bows with this darling ribbon I got from 80% off Christmas clearance, cause is there anything better than a good clearance?? I don’t think so!! I cut my ribbon 16 inches long then using my handy dandy bow making technique I made bow after bow after bow. I ended up with 16 bows, which took 3 spools of ribbon.
How to make a bow
This is how I make my bows, I use some markers taped to my table to help me configure my bows, however you can make yours however you choose.

After what seemed like a lot of bows later, I was ready to assemble my bow dangles. Using fishing line, I cut approximately, 20 inches and then added a dab of hot glue to the back of my bow then strategically placed each bow on the line. I used 3 bows per line.
Once I assembled all of my bow dangles, I attached the commands hooks to the ceiling in my daughters room, I made a small loop around the end of the fishing line and tada hung up each bow dangle & suddenly the room felt so magical and pretty!!

I just love how these bows look like they are floating, its very whimsical. This sure was an easy & inexpensive way to make a little magic in my daughters room, you could also go bonkers and make many more hanging bow garlands and use them as a background for a photo op, or hang them from a dining chandelier, get creative with it!
