Paper chains have been around for a long, long time and for good reason they are adorable. They really bring that sense of nostalgia and really can make a big impact on a space for very little money. There are so many different paper options as well as size options. You can make the chains thin, making them long, making them different shapes, I love draping them and adding different dimensions to the area I’m decorating .
So what are we waiting for? Let’s make some paper chains.
You are going to need paper. I prefer a card stock. You can choose a fun Design or just a solid Pattern.
So this is where some people very when it comes to making paper chains some prefer to use a stapler, some just like to use tape or if you’re a hard-core crafter who always has their hot glue gun ready to go like me you’ll be using your hot glue gun!
A heart paper chain is just about the cutest thing that you will ever see and once you start making them, you won’t want to stop

making a heart paper chain
MATERIALS
- Paper
- Hot glue gun
- Scissors or paper cutter
First, choose your paper and you’re going to cut strips the long length of the paper into 1/2 inch strips. This is where a paper cutter comes in really handy. I suggest having one on hand otherwise you can use a ruler and mark with a pencil inch and cut with the scissors.

Once you have your strips and your hot glue gun is ready you are going to fold your strip in half. This will be the bottom point of your heart then you will add a little dab of glue to one side of the inner Part of your paper, which will then attach to the other side of your paper, making a heart! You will continue this process attaching the next chain through the previous heart, & so on & so on.
I hope you make some of these cutsey paper chain hearts this Valentines, or even for a fun party, cause everyone needs a little love in their life! I made mine red, but making a chain in another color and layering them together would be so cute as well, or even alternating the colors, have fun with it!
& as always if you make this craft, don’t forget to share, because everyone loves a good show and tell & make sure to take me on IG @HOMESWEETMARTINS
