Blue Moon Ice Cream
So I’m an 80s baby and I grew up going to small ice cream shops and the 3 flavors I always remember wanting were Superman, blue moon and bubblegum! Yep those were my go tos! It might have something to do with the fact that I live in the south now and not in the Midwest, but blue moon ice cream is so hard to find.
So when I got a ninja creamy, I knew I had to get a recipe for blue moon ice cream. Trust me this recipe has all the flavor you would ever want.
Ingredients
12-15 drops blue Food coloring
1/2 tsp Lemon extract
1 tsp Raspberry extract
4 tbsp Vanilla instant pudding mix
1/2 cup Heavy whipping cream
1 1/2 cups Milk
Time to make Ice cream
Ingredients are pretty basic, except the raspberry extract, that I did have to purchase from amazon. All my other ingredients I got at my grocery store. I did also borrow my husband hand electric stirring stick, it’s very fancy and totally worth it.
I did double my recipe, because hello It’s blue moon Ice cream and my kids are now obsessed with it. If you are short on time and want a quicker freeze you could always make the original recipe and split the mix into two containers and you’d have ice cream much sooner.
Start by adding all of your ingredients to your mixing cup and give it a good stir. with the blue coloring you can choose to add more or less coloring depending on on the color you want your ice cream. once all stirred together, put the lid on and place your cup into the freezer, it couldn’t be more simple!
Once your ice cream is frozen you will use your creami to spin the ice cream. I usually use the Lite ice cream mode and if I don’t feel like it’s the right texture after the first spin I like to hit it with a re-spin. You could always add just a drop more of milk if needed.

You are now ready to enjoy!!! honestly we skip dishing it out and the family all digs a spoon in! Just to warn you, you may or may not have a blue mouth after enjoying this incredible ice cream!!
