St. Patrick’s Day is just around the corner and let’s face it I’m not Irish. But I think everyone likes to believe they have a little bit of Irish in them for this holiday. As always, I’m thinking of crafts or fun activities to do with the kids to celebrate. I have come up with 4 St. Patrick’s Day crafts. so let’s get right to it.
Photo collage
One of my favorite new crafts for any holiday is making a hilarious or adorable photo of my children using cut out elements and their photo.
I started this at Christmas and I’ve done it every holiday since.
It’s really so fun to pick out different photo elements to put on their photo collage. This kids like to help me look through the elements in Canva and choose which ones they like.
I feel like I went all out this time with my sons. He looks like a little leprechaun. My daughters is a little more cute, but still precious and I’m sure one day she will be embarrassed that I made this of her!
I have provided links for some photo elements that I used to make the collages.

Gold coin rainbow necklace
Obviously gold coins, and rainbows are a big part of most St. Patrick’s Day celebrations.
I found these coins and I wasn’t quite sure what I was going to do with them. I mean there’s so many options. However, in this case I decided to use them for a necklace.

There seemed to be some holes poked into them already, however I couldn’t poke them through all the way so I did end up having to use a tiny little drill bit to drill a hole through the coins to get the yarn through .
Little hack for you! if you’re trying to string the yarn through the holes it usually works best to add just a little bit of tape to the end so the yarn doesn’t fray and you can easily thread them.
After I put my coins on my yarn I added fruit Loops . This is the part where my kids wanted to get involved, mostly just for a treat, but they had a good time designing and stringing the fruit loops.
Depending on your Childs age and skill level, they may need more or less help to string everything on.
Best part is if they get hungry They have a built-in snack around their neck.

Shamrock painting
Using heavy card stock I traced a Shamrock with glue. Once the glue is dry, you can use paint to paint over the dry glue. the glue leave a nice edge and makes the shamrock look more 3D.
I liked the idea of multiple greens and or yellows with blues because they make green. I added some glitter, which was really fun, We did add a little bit of gold paint which kind of just brings out that that lucky gold that we all think of for St. Patrick’s Day

T-shirts
Let’s face it if you’re not wearing a holiday T-shirt what are you doing with your life, kidding but seriously obviously you need a st Patrick’s day t-shirt! This definitely calls for puffy paint. Yep we got out the puffy paint and fabric paint and started googling designs.
The kids were gonna be on spring break this year for St. Patrick’s Day so it wail be fun the have them dressed in their shirts together.

A little pro tip for you if you really love making T-shirts with the kids like I do then I’d buy some large packs of white T-shirts. That way if you want to spontaneously make a T-shirt you will have some on hand.
so at first I tried using the liquid paint to paint my shirt, but the color wasn’t coming out dark enough, so I did end up switching my plan to mainly puffy paint.
If you’re not comfortable with hand painting/drawing you could print your letters/design and cut them out and trace the design onto your shirt then go over your lines with paint.
Another option is to let the kids go wild and create their own designs. Either way when you’re done you’ll have a cute shirt to wear for the big day!
Have fun celebrating
The main point of all of this crafty business Is to truly celebrate and get into the occasion. With these 4 St. Patricks Day crafts you will feeling ready for fun and celebration!
